Jesús L. Barrios, O.D.

Dr. Barrios has lived most of his life in NJ and is happy to serve all of its communities in eye health and vision care needs.

He graduated The Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 2007.  As part of a scholarship agreement, he immediately served the US Air Force and cared for active duty troops, retired veterans and their families.  He had a wonderful military experience before returning to civilian life.  He will always remain humbled by the sacrifices made by our troops in order to preserve our American way of life.

After a couple of years as an “exam only” provider, leasing exam space within a large commercial retailer, Dr. Barrios decided he wanted to have more control over the quality of eyewear offered to his patients.  To do that, he believed he would have to open his own optical business.

Early 2014, the opportunity arose for Dr. Barrios to fulfill this desire.  Barrios Vision has since opened its doors to serve Green Brook Township and all surrounding communities in Somerset County and beyond.  Our optical shop features selections for everyone in the household.  As a therapeutic optometrist certified to prescribe oral medications, Dr. Barrios is the primary eye care source for the whole family.  He also participates in the InfantSEE program and, therefore, accepts patients as young as 6 months of age.
